Commissioned by Columbia University faculty, students, and alumni to illustrate three cards for an educational card game celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) heritage.
The project combined cultural storytelling with editorial illustration, featuring two food cards highlighting Kottu Roti and Lahpet Thoke, alongside a conceptual Quest card exploring the "perpetual foreigner" experience. Each illustration was designed to educate, spark conversation, and celebrate the diversity of AAPI cultures through engaging visual narratives.

This piece explored the quiet alienation many in the AAPI community feel—being seen as outsiders in their own country, questioned with "Where are you really from?" despite generations of belonging. It captures the tension between identity and perception, and the resilience that lives in between.
